Tips
The "Veerseniederung" nature reserve is located east of Scheeßel in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district and covers approximately 442 hectares. The "Hemslinger Moor" nature reserve borders it to the south.The Veerse River is a tributary of the Wümme River. In contrast to the straightened and dammed upper reaches of the Veerse (in the Heidekreis district), the middle and lower reaches are still in a relatively natural state and therefore particularly rich in species.
