Here, you can experience pure nature with all your senses. Passing a wetland forest, you'll have unobstructed views of the lowlands. Species-rich, sweet-sweet meadows, scented with sweet woodruff (vernal grass), dotted with yellow marsh marigold in spring and white meadowsweet and pink purple loosestrife in autumn, offer a diverse array of colors.Along the extension of the Färbergraben, dense willow thickets line the extensive network of waterways of the Kleiner and Großer Teichstreek, which flow in different directions shortly after the confluence of the Rodau and Wiedau rivers. At the wooden bridge that crosses the Wiedau before it joins the Rodau, you should take a short break, listen to the bird calls of chiffchaffs, warblers, and wrens, and experience that "island feeling." With a bit of luck, you might even spot a kingfisher foraging along the banks of the waterways. (Rotenburg Cultural Trail)
