The Lembacher Käppele

You don't know how old the Lembacher Käppele is. However, there is an expansion plan from 1848. At that time, among other things, a tower was set up, which was destroyed by lightning at the end of the 19th century. In 1998 an urgently needed external renovation of the chapel was started. Many citizens of Lembach applied themselves or supported the work financially. Therefore, renovation measures could also be carried out inside the chapel. However, for security reasons, a new place of residence had to be found in the St. George's Church for the statue of Our Lady, which was considered a special gem of the chapel. Since the re-inauguration on May 30, 2000, the Lembacher Käppele has shone in new splendor.
