The tunnel was originally created for the animals, so they could safely cross under the motorway access road and the A17. Much used by people to cross under. Attention please. The tunnel is (of course!) not lit, is sometimes under water after heavy downpours and the floor is bumpy and full of holes. Risk of injury! Of course, like everywhere else, there are idiots who throw trash in or smash glass. Be careful, considerate and do not disturb the animals. The tunnel is intended for them, not for us humans!
