Knockie Bridge crosses the beautiful Water of Tanar. The little hill that rises to the east lends its name to the bridge and there's a fine viewpoint for Glen Tanar and its ancient Caledonian Scots pines just a short walk from here on the hill’s flanks. Glen Tanar is a vibrant place to explore, rich in wildlife. Munro baggers also use the glen as a launch base for Scotland's most easterly Munro, Mount Keen.
