A rewarding route with great views. Single track, gravel and short sections of tarmac. A couple of steep sections. At head of the glen theres a river crossing where wet feet is a must, but only passable in dry spells. All other river crossings have rock steps or log bridges.…

Gravel loop Bennachie
Easy navigation, gravel track. 2 short steep climbs, 1 long steep downhill. Do not recommend loop in reverse due to length and gradient of climb. Managed on manual mtb. Look out for dragon flies at far end of loop and at pond near car park/ visitor centre.

Kincraig Drake's Bothy Aviemore loop
Easy to navigate, mostly flat, some rocky sections, has everything - mountain views, rivers, single track, lochs, paths, etc. Couple of places en route for snacks and drinks.

Around Cumbrae, outer and inner circle
Flat road route most of the way, inner loop has small climb but worth it. Great views. Lots of benches for lunch. Mapes of Millport has 500 bikes to hire!! £14 for an afternoon for standard mtb with low resistance tyres. Highly recommended.

Loch an eilein, Boat Garten, Morlich loop
Superb route. Leaving Aviemore, Speyside Way path is a dream to Boat. Then short section on road. Steepest section on rocky an Sluggan but really not too tough. Amazing views of Cairngorms and Morlich. Then down to beach for a paddle Then mostly downhill all way back to an Eilein.…

Morlich to Bynack More loop
Parked at Hayfield (empty when others around the beach were full, but only 1km away). Cycled to Ryvoan Bridge, locked and hid bike and walked up the hill. So truly a 'hike and bike' loop. Easy path to follow. Steep in a couple places. Boulder top, but gravel most of…

7 bridges loop at Ballater
Easy way marked walk, mostly on tracks, riverside section. Riverside loop around the town can be added on. Great ice cream shop at the end of the walk!

Jedburgh Abbey and town loop
Impressive Abbey tour, waymarked path with great views over the town. Long walk available but rain stopped play today! Tarmac and mud path mix, long gradual climb at start.

Crathes castle loop
Way marked paths, some uneven sections (roots, steps and stones). Excellent cafe at the end of the walk! Plenty of parking. Great play area for those young at heart.
