The Protestant Church of St. Helena in the district of the same name in the municipality of Simmelsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1421, but is probably much older. In 1574 the Tucher family took over the patronage of St. Helena and the district of Großengsee, which only ended in 2000. St. Helena is almost at the end of the Naifertal on a mountain spur above the valley. Politically, the district with its approx. 50 inhabitants belongs to the municipality of Simmelsdorf. The church and the surrounding area - especially towards Großengsee - are very, very worth seeing.
