The church is located in the former center of Englschalking and is a Roman Catholic branch church of St. Emmeram (Englschalking). As one of the few Romanesque-early Gothic buildings in Munich, she has survived the times since her first appointment in 1300 almost unchanged. Its construction dates back to the time when the Freisinger Bishop bought the area between Priel, Oberföhring, Daglfing and Ismaning in 1319 and raised it to the "ridden imperial county Ismaning".
