"Above the village of Mengersdorf, municipality of Mistelgau, at the entrance to Franconian Switzerland near Bayreuth, the forest lies on a sunny southern slope with a wide view of the Truppachtal and the Neubürg. The terrain consists of several levels, mostly overgrown with old beech trees on sandy soil. Overall the area extends to 10 hectares.
In the village opposite the church is the Mengersdorf estate. You can park there. A forest car park is available for people with reduced mobility"
