The beautification club Obernsees, which was founded on 7.7.1972 as a tourist and local beautification club, had the idea to build an observation platform on the Knock. The construction of a log cabin, the Knockhütte, developed from the platform in pile construction during construction. The hut is now a popular destination for hikers to enjoy the view of the Neuburg and to make a leisurely stop. Catering is on Sundays and public holidays. Otherwise, the cabin can be rented for private events.
