About 100 m above the lower end of the gorge, the so-called Malá Cikánská jeskyně (Small Gypsy Cave) was carved into the rock face at the foot of a steep slope. It consists of an elongated, vaulted room about 15 m wide and 3 to 6 m deep, the ceiling of which is supported by two slender pillars. It was apparently created around 1756 by mining sand for the first Bürgstein mirror grinding shop.

The Little Gypsy Cave, which with its arches and columns looks as if it had been borrowed from a film. Both caves (Big and Small Gypsy Caves) were artificially created, almost certainly to extract sand.
