Below the three crosses and the Salmendinger Chapel stands the life-size bronze statue of a man in a monk's habit, created by the sculptor Robert M. Weber from Grafing near Munich in 2007, titled 'Klausner'. Next to it, an inscription plaque on a stone provides information about the history of the hermitage that used to be located here:

AFTER THE HOUSE / SERVED AS AN APARTMENT FOR THE KORNBÜHLMESNERN UNTIL 1850, / IT WAS demolished in 1872. / THE SCULPTURE WAS MADE IN 2007 BY ROBERT M. WEBER, GRAFING NEAR MUNICH. / IT WAS FOUNDED BY WALFRIED MAYER, SALMENDINGEN, ON THE ANNIVERSARY / 500 YEARS OF SALMENDINGER CHAPEL
