Roßberg Lodge and Roßberg Tower

The restaurant's beer garden is one of my favorite places in the Swabian Alb. Anyone who has ever experienced a sunset here will never stop being amazed. It is particularly impressive if you sit on the bench on the rock north of the tower. From the tower, under ideal conditions, the view extends as far as the Alps.

On the Roßberg (869 meters) there is a lookout tower and a hiking home. The summit of the Roßberg sits on the elongated Roßfeld, which forms a mountain peninsula projecting far into the Alb foreland. Up here you have the feeling of freedom and lightness. The view from the top of the hilltop, or from the hostel and from the tower platform is great and a special experience on a clear night. Occasionally, even the peaks of the Alpine chain can be seen. The view of the Albtrauf looks like a beautiful landscape painting. In order to enjoy the special night view or the early morning mood, it is advisable to spend the night in the hiking house. There are several rooms available for this purpose.
