In this mural, Cleon shows the history of Heerlen, which he sees as a genuine human story of prosperity and challenges. In his own experience, as time passes, seemingly negative periods, periods of crisis and pain often lead to new beginnings, opportunities for growth and hope. He has tried to capture this feeling in the work.
