Here you will find a tombstone with the inscription 1681 Dorothea Hofin. According to tradition, this nun once lived in Rieth.

    Translated by Google •

It is said that she was a nun who lived in the Domain Court in Rieth. Due to the turmoil of the 30-year war, poverty and hunger prevailed throughout the country. In the nun's yard, too, supplies were running out. In order to at least have milk, the nun asked the farmers of Rieth for a cow. In exchange she offered her entire lands and farm. But no one could grant her this request. After her death, Dorothea's possessions became state property. The area of the nunnery is 86.34 ha. That is as much as 120 football pitches. A memorial stone known as the Nonnenstein was erected as a reminder and reminder. The memorial stone was restored in 1997 and recognized as an official ground monument. That is, it is represented in maps.
The real identity of Dorothea has not been proven, but in fact there was a monastery courtyard in Rieth that belonged to the Upper Franconian convent at Sonnefeld
      belonged.
