The large water stone is a dolomite massif with two rock groups and a cave system. In the northern area there is a smaller cave system with about ten meters high water stone abri, which can be reached via stairs. Definitely worth seeing rock overhang or rock roof and a popular photo motif. The Ice Age shrew (Sorex minutissimus) was found near the overhang. The description of the Wasserstein Abri is on a board by the staircase.

In addition to the water stone gate, this fantastic dolomite rock formation of the large water stone has a lot more to offer:
Large water stone Apri (large overhang), water stone grotto and the northern group of rocks with the cave at the top of the slope.
In the area of the water stone grotto, the fossil remains of the shrew, which were celebrated on the information board, were found. :))
