The old mill is no longer active. Nature is literally taking over this structure.
Historical context: In 1847, this stone mountain mill was built in the remote hamlet of Lipseinde as a grain and polder mill. The intention was to keep Het Moer dry with a scoop wheel. Because the water kept flowing back, these efforts were abandoned, and the mill was only used to grind grain. Due to its remote location, the mill didn't have much to grind.
