In 1728 the foundation stone was laid for the "German Reformed Church" in Erlangen. The church was consecrated six years later. In 1922 Ev.-Luth took over. Church the building and made it into the Christ Church. In the 1950s, the church underwent the biggest change to date: it was gutted and a ceiling was put in. The Christ Church became a parish hall.
The exterior remained intact until the renovation in the 1990s and the tombs below the church floor also remained untouched. In 2016 the “Kreuz + Quer” opened here - a modern one

The former German Reformed Church on Bohlenplatz is a baroque hall church. From 1922 it belonged as Christ Church to the Evangelical-Lutheran Neustadt congregation and was used by them as a community center from 1953/54. After a renovation, the church has been an event location for up to 350 people for up to 350 people since 2016 under the name Kreuz + Quer – Haus der Kirche Erlangen. (Source: Wikipedia)
