The Wiek is best ridden on the tarred side of the road, even if not all Papenburg residents have so far realized that cyclists are allowed to do so. The "Katharina von Papenburg" located there is a real gem and beautiful to look at. A few meters further on, the next highlight follows on the corner of "Fahnenweg" with the post mill. This is one of the really rare and preserved specimens of this type in Germany.
