Just 6 kilometers as the crow flies from the Cologne Cathedral lies the Decksteiner Weiher. The park in the greenbelt of the south of Cologne is a top address in terms of hiking. The path leads through a rock garden and to the remains of Fort VI, a former Cologne fortress, which is preserved as a historic monument.
