Mountaineering
The Sommerstein, a striking and highly visible peak, rises next to the Riemannhaus. It is steep but easily climbable from the hut in about 30 minutes and offers not only a fantastic view of the Hohe Tauern mountain range but also a beautiful view of the Steinernes Meer and beyond to the Watzmann.

Mountaineering
Small but fine summit, perhaps one of the lightest in the Stone Sea. Reachable in less than 30 minutes from the Riemannhaus. Nevertheless, surefootedness and a head for heights are required and at one point the hands must be used. Great view from Salzburg all the way into the Alps!
