A great hike with great hotspots. Unfortunately, the Teufelsmauerstieg is not very well signposted.
Or maybe the starting point is crucial.
This starts in Blankenburg: the grandfather is at the stamp office a sign, because of the many paths / trails you quickly lose the right way - good instead of the northern slope then stop directly on the ridge - exhausting but also beautiful.
After that I have consciously left the route one or the other, e.g. at Timmerode and am probably the more beautiful route on the Klosterwanderweg to Thale then went north of Thale back on the TMS to land.
Between Neinstedt and Bad Suderrode I went south of the actual route over the Münchenberg and Galgenberg.
Through Rieder through the route pulls eerily. Then we continue on the TMS direction Ballenstedt: A short trip to the airport to avoid dehydration and times to judge the RHZ area for 2020 and then again on the Teufelsmauer direction Ballenstedt to the bus. Highly recommended is the INSA app for the public transport.
