The Palazzo della Ragione was the former seat of Bergamo's municipality, and the entire structure underwent numerous modifications; today, the Palazzo della Ragione houses the Fresco Museum, in the Sala delle Capriate. On the right side is the "Scalone dei Giuristi."
To the side stands the Palazzo del Podestà, also known as the Palazzo dei Giuristi, as the Podestà also administered justice. Today, it houses the Museo del Cinquecento (Museum of the 16th Century).
