The Wandsbek-Gartenstadt U-Bahn station is a stop on the Hamburg U-Bahn lines U1 and U3 in the Wandsbek district, named after the Wandsbek garden city located here.
The Walddörferbahn from Barmbek in the direction of Volksdorf was almost complete even before the First World War. Due to the shortage of materials and personnel due to the war, the station was only handed over to temporary steam operation on September 12, 1918. At that time this station was called "Hinschenfelde". In 1920 it was renamed "Wandsbek Garden City". Electrical operation with conductor rails and elevated railcars began on September 6, 1920.
