The Saint-Sulpice church of Neerheylissem (part of Hélécine) is a unique Romanesque church built in Lincent tuff, located between Hélécine and Hannut. The church was built in the typical stone in the twelfth century and restored in the 18th century. In 1938, this magnificent Romanesque building was listed as a monument. Typical are the small windows, the imposing square tower that dominates the building with its thick walls and the beautiful ocher color. Inside there is an organ that was built around 1720. The church is located near the Kleine Gete and in the area you will find some beautiful buildings. There is also a memorial to the fallen in front of the church.

For those interested: the brick wall of the small parking lot behind the church, as well as the wall of the house next to it, has several bricked-in old gravestones, crosses and memorials. Also view the expressions of gratitude and tributes from veterans, family members and organizations entered in the monument for the war victims.
