Hiking
Until the discovery of the Hermannshöhle in 1866, it was the second show cave in town.
The first cave guide was the miner Christian Friedrich Becker in 1781.
From 1887 onwards the cave lost its importance and the tour operations were stopped.
Today it is a protected bat roost.

Rübeland has many caves. Also the Baumannshöhle. The Baumannshöhle is the oldest and most famous show cave in Germany and is located in the center of Rübeland.
