The town church of St. Jakobus is the Evangelical Lutheran town church and parish church of Weißenstadt.
The sacred building, which was dedicated as Marienkirche in the pre-Reformation period, was renamed “Jakobskirche” after an extension at the beginning of the 16th century. In the early 17th century the church was rebuilt in the margrave style.
