A grotto with an idyllic stream. But you can't see the grotto from the road. Enter the forest path. There's a crumpled arrow. Once you're there, you'll be surprised to see a real Lourdes grotto. In 1874, a Lourdes grotto was built of fieldstone on the castle grounds, commissioned by the Van Ockerhout family of the Woestijne family in gratitude for a healing received after a pilgrimage to Lourdes. During the first months of the First World War, a pilgrimage was held here daily.
