Compared to other peaks in the Kreuth area, the Leonhardstein is neither high nor far. But it doesn't even need to, because its distinctive shape makes it stand out from its colleagues even from a great distance. In addition, it does not make an ascent very easy for the simply knitted hiker. The last 500m to the summit require a lot of scrambling, but it's really fun.The Leonhardstein is not a classic panoramic mountain with views deep into Tyrol. In the south, the not exactly slim Guffert rises above the Blaubergkamm. A little further to the right, the nearby Buchstein dominates, followed by the Seekarspitze and the Fockenstein, among others. To the right of the Hirschberg, the Tegernsee is just peeking out cheekily. The view of the Kreuth below is very nice.
