  • The Königsalm is a snack station at 1115 m above sea level, below Schildenstein and Platteneck. It basically consists of two buildings, both equally impressive. The so-called Kavalierhaus was built by King Maximilian I in 1818. The king is said to have visited the Alm frequently. A visit by Empress Sissi on July 20, 1887 is also guaranteed. The adjacent wooden block building from 1723 houses stables for cattle and a mattress store that is no longer in use. It is the largest historical alpine hut in the Miesbach district. The area between the two buildings is used as a beer garden.
