Hirtenstieg Ascent to the Brocken

The path is very steep here and anything but easy to walk. But the view over the path is wonderful and compensated. I like walking him very much.

Road surface:
First a small piece of grit, from the left curve to the chunk up perforated concrete slabs. Not so nice, but as I said, the experience is great.

One of the paths on the Brocken, especially recommended in winter when you can't see the old concrete slabs.

The Hirtensteig is terribly steep and the feeling he never wants to end ...... so I come from the ranger station Scharfenstein zum Brocken every time before, but it is actually "only" 3.8 kilometers. Therefore, my tip: fill the energy budget at the ranger station and start well strengthened the last few kilometers to the Brocken summit.
