The Frankenweg is located on the Vestisches Höhenrücken, once you have reached the top you have a good view towards Suderwich, Dortmund (Florianturm), Herne (power plant), Herten (Halde Hoheward) and depending on the location you can also make out the Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
