Lovely smooth road looping around Lake Vyrnwy. A stunning reservoir on the edge of Snowdonia. Roads were beautifully quiet on a summers morning spin. Amazing dam stretching across the water.

It's a 12 mile ride in total to go all the way around lake Vyrnwy. It's got descent flat and well paved roads all the way with some great views from the damn plus other things to see along the way like waterfalls and the reservoir tower.

reservoir in Powys, Wales, built in the 1880s for Liverpool Corporation Waterworks to supply Liverpool with fresh water. It flooded the head of the Vyrnwy valley and submerged the village of Llanwddyn
