This is brilliant peice of architecture thats still in use today, you can feel the sheer power of the flow of water down the dam one side, and the peace and tranquility of the lake the other.

Llyn Efyrnwy or Lake Vyrnwy is a reservoir built in the 1880s to supply water to Liverpool.
The lake and nature reserve around it is jointly managed by the RSPB and is an important site for birds. It's a national nature reserve and SSSI.

Took in 3 good climbs the first of which the Horseshoe pass and then making my way around to Vyrnwy. Stunning scenery and roads.
