To take time. 9 km behind the Icefieldcentre is the Saskatchewan from the eponymous Icefield. Short but crisp track up.

Parker Ridge Trail: is a beautiful 2.5-hour hiking trail with 260 meters of altitude and great views, which can be easily installed on the way between Lake Louise and Jasper. The way is a bit muddy, but to walk well and with normal condition easily feasible. Sturdy footwear is required - no jogging shoes! The trail starts right down the parking lot at the Icefield Parkway. At the top of the summit you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and the Sakatchewan Glacier. One of the absolute highlights on the route between Lake Louise and Jasper.

The Parker Ridge Trailhead is located on the Icefields Parkway, about ten kilometres from the Jasper National Park Icefield Information Centre.
