The west bank of the Gein meanders through the flat Dutch landscape. Between Driemond and Abcoude you pass small houses, large villas and sweeping farms.
Halfway there is the windmill Broekzijdse Molen from the year 1641. More direction Abcoude is, on the other bank, built in 1874 Oosterzijdse Molen, which like the Broekzijdse Molen is also a "polder mill", ie the water from the surrounding polders in the Gein inflated.
The road is often narrow, densely overgrown to the right and left with trees and shrubs. From time to time, gaps open the view of the polder and the gein. The traffic is i.d.R. weak, the road surface good. In Abcoude there are many ways to stop.

The best way to combine this highlight with a tour on the Vecht. Just from Driemond to Abcoude, from there to Loenersloot, over the Amsterdam-Rijn-Kanaal over and then at Vreeland (is also worth a visit!) Along the Vecht south to Utrecht.
