The Conche lake, located on the plateau of Mount Calamita, can be reached via dirt paths that wind through coastal views and Mediterranean scrub. The lake, of artificial origin, was created during mining activities on Mount Calamita. The water has a characteristic reddish color due to the high concentration of ferrous minerals, residue of ancient iron extractions.
