The easiest way in and out of Bristol by bike. Usually quiet and leads straight to Ashton court and some nice roads out of Bristol. Can be used to head to the Mendips or over towards Weston Super Mare and Clevedon.

If you’re visiting Bristol then you HAVE to go over the bridge at some point. Absolutely stunning views and a masterpiece in industrial engineering.

At the moment there are roadworks on the Clifton side so be careful. Make sure to use the bike paths around the barriers.

You can also go beneath it of course. It's a great ride from the Avon motorway bridge following the Avon up into the Avon gorge at Clifton to pass under the suspension bridge.
