A water wheel has recently been installed in the Glatt below the Glattfelden train station. This should allow the meadows to be irrigated again as they used to be. The wheel has a diameter of 5.5 m, is 2 m wide and weighs 5 t (source: wasserradbau.ch/wasserraeder/glattfelden/).
