The Jewish community in Obergrombach initially set up a prayer room in a private house next to the church. In 1790 the first synagogue with a mikvah was built in the Burggasse next to the old city gate and opposite the town hall. This building was used as a synagogue until the mid-19th century; afterwards it served as a ritual bath and as a women's bath and housed a kosher butcher's shop. Today it is a residential building.

First mentioned in 1749 as a Jewish property. The old synagogue was old Jewish property and is located opposite the town hall. From 1820 to 1844 it was used as a synagogue by the Jewish community in Obergrombach. Around 1850 a kosher butcher's shop and a women's bath were housed here.
