Flour and Oil Mill De Phenix

In 2018 and 2019, the Phenix mill in Nes was given a major overhaul by 'De Molenmakers' of construction company Hiemstra from Tzummarrum.
The mill was thoroughly restored and then thatcher Kleinjan from Den Ham provided the hull and hood with a new thatch.

The second phase of the revitalization of the mill was the construction of an underground visitor center on the east side of the mill under the Mullesduun. An oil mill has been installed in this underground part by the Molenmakers. Oil has been beaten in Koren- en Oliemolen de Phenix since the beginning of 2022.

The mill shop is open from Monday to Saturday from 13:00 to 17:00.
The oil mill is in operation several times a week (Tuesdays and Saturdays with sufficient wind).

The Phenix corn and oil mill can be visited for free. A donation on site is welcome!
