The church, dedicated to the patron saint of the diocese of Liège, was already mentioned in the 12th century. The Romanesque west tower is built in sandstone, but the portal is from a later period. The spire of the tower is formed by a tent roof.
In 1730 the nave was restored in late Gothic style, using tuff stone, while the lower aisles were made of flint.
After the fire of August 10, 1914, these parts were rebuilt in neo-Gothic style.
The interior includes a Romanesque stone baptismal font and decorated grave slabs of local notables and clergy.
