Postel Abbey started cultivating herbs in September 1994. The main goal was to grow herbs in an environmentally friendly way. First of all, the cultivation of ginseng was considered. After all, the ginseng cultivation has several advantages for the environment, no slurry, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides are used. From the beginning, there was also a search for other plants that can be grown in this way. The first test fields have now grown into a real herb garden.
