The water tank in Nieder-Hilbersheim, a municipality in the Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate, was built in 1905. The water tank east of the village on the road to Engelstadt is a protected cultural monument.
The cubic type building made of ashlar masonry is marked with the year 1905 above the door. The round arch above the entrance facade is decorated with a stone sphere.
From 1897 to 1907, the hydraulic engineer and building official Bruno von Boehmer designed and managed the modernization of the water supply for large parts of Rheinhessen. (Wikipedia)
