"The Veischedetal takes its name from the creek "Veischede", which rises in the urban area of Olpe above Oberveischede (source 505m above sea level) and flows into the Lenne over a length of approx. 16.5 km at the end of the Veischedetal in Lennestadt-Grevenbrück."

"In the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature park, the Veischede rises between the mountains Feldberg (556.2 m above sea level) and Twilkenberg (531.2 m). It initially flows in a northeasterly direction, later in a northerly direction along the federal highway 55. It runs below Oberveischede through the Lennestadt districts of Bruchhausen, Kirchveischede, Bilstein and Bonzel to Grevenbrück, finally ending below the ruins of Peperburg at 245 m above sea level in the Lenne, a tributary to the Ruhr."
