The castle of Burg-Reuland is one of the most beautiful and largest castle ruins in the Ardennes. It was built in the 12th century and was a huge complex until the 18th century. The current ruin complex still measures 55 meters by 65 meters and is only a small part of the former castle. The massive walls that once enclosed the castle square and reached into the Ulft valley no longer exist.

Reuland Castle, one of the largest castle ruins in the Eifel, stands high above the town. After being destroyed several times, the castle was rebuilt and expanded several times. The old keep is a symbol of the former power of the Reuländer lords and counts. The ruin has been a listed building since 1900 after having been used as a quarry for decades.
