The Anna Chapel in Kronach is a three-story building located on Melchior-Otto-Platz, northeast of the town's parish church. It was built in 1509 under Prince-Bishop George III of Bamberg, whose coat of arms can be seen on the east façade. The two closely spaced portals are striking. The interior of the upper floor features an impressive reticulated vault, whose ribs rest on a winding support. The chapel stands on the town's former cemetery, which probably dates back to the 13th century. Today, the upper floor is used for sacred ceremonies and exhibitions, while the lower floors remain empty.
