The descent is via a steep path, which was partially reworked, so that even enthusiastic MTBler can move up / down / push. Impressed from here below is the massive of the Sheffield Pike.

Easier ascent/descent from Helvellyn if you don't fancy Swirral or Striding Edge.

This is a very decent gravel path which is quite steep but a far more easier option than the scramble over Striding Edge.
