The Botanical Garden, with approximately 13.4 hectares of land, forms the largest part of Hohenheim's green spaces, along with the State Arboretum (approximately 16.5 hectares). As a scientific institution, the Botanical Garden's grounds support research and teaching at the University of Hohenheim.
