The roundabout connects Funchal's hotel district with the Baixa, the old town and the western parts of the city. The Praça do Infante leads from Avenida Arriaga to Avenida Infante. Clearly visible and easily recognizable as a landmark - in the middle of the Rotunda: the globe 🌍 with fountain ⛲️!

Viewed objectively: a lively and busy square, a nice landmark as you pass by - but nothing more. Lots of traffic, as the main routes meet here. So not exactly somewhere to linger. Bus lines, delivery services, taxis - busy - and not as nice as some other Komoot users might think.
